Do all TART TO TART stores allow people to bring in dogs? Even if they're not disabled??
I like this place, it is quite a lot of space, the latte is good, may be the attention not so good, I could say good enough, the bathroom is clean and handicap handling, you have to use a key... So it is good.
MoreNice place, great muffins, love their giant chocolate chip cookies. I've tried their pies, tarts and cakes - not bad at all. Their chocolate cake layered with whip cream and strawberries is a favorite. Great for birthdays or host gift. I do agree that service is meh, not friendly or "how's your day?" Nada.
MoreGood boba, nay awesome boba
I was not as impressed with the place. I feel like its glory days have gone by. Came here as suggested by a friend. The place looks somewhat tired. The staff though were lovely and really friendly. Ordered coffee, tea and some pastries. Coffee was so so, and tea was generic.
MoreWished there were more selections of croissants & danishes. Tons of muffins.
Not bad for a late night coffee and desert. The lady behind the counter is not very friendly. It was a bother for her to serve us. I felt like she would rather be surfing on her phone then serving customers.
MoreGood selection of great deserts. Friendly service and nice atmosphere.
I came here because reviewers suggested I give it a try. First of all, my espresso drink was awful. It's a decent place to study but don't come here for the ambiance, as there is none. The coconut macaroons I had were tasty. This place is open late which is cool but overall it's little better than Meh.
MoreBest chocolate muffin ever
Delicious oatmeal raisin cookies!
The tart was not amazing but was good. Try it once and probably never again.
The quality of this place has gone down a lot since I came here as a college student many years ago. Service is still friendly and they still have a big selection, but the product is mediocre and it's a very long wait if you want a sandwich or anything that requires assembly. At least it's a good place for students to study at. Recently, I tried their curry chicken sandwich; it was tasty, but a bit dry. I'm glad the cashier recommended the sourdough bread option. However, it shouldn't have taken over 15 minutes to make the sandwich, especially when you only have a few orders. Most sandwich places get it done in about 5 minutes, despite a long line of customers. The place could use some updating. It's spacious with nice high ceilings, but needs a desperate face lift to make it more welcoming. Waiting for them to realize their need for improvement...
MoreA lot of construction outside, good luck with parking. Decent coffee.
Tart was great. Coffee was mediocre but not bad. Reasonably priced.
This is the best place for muffins. Never had better tasting muffins. I have been coming here for years, and will continue to do so.
MoreIn the back is a great little burrito joint, Mexican Taqueria. I mostly get a nice simple burrito but she had a fajita burrito on the menu that will hit the spot for sure!
MoreIt's a fine place to do work.
All of the pastries are sweet (and delicious) muffins and marginal croissants. It has lots of tables in a big space - they must own the building - and Wi-Fi. There is a small sandwiches menu and shares space with a Mexican restaurant which I've never tried (being there in the mornings before that counter opens). It's quiet and a good place to talk or study.
MoreThe milkshakes are on point. It was made right in front of me with custom ice cream flavors. The staff was extremely friendly and serving!(BTW The Mexican spot attached is good and reasonably priced!)
MoreBest pear almond tart I ever had. Place is popular with students. There is a wide tea selection and many tasty tarts.
MoreCool food, great people and an amazing neighborhood. A spot in SF tourists shy away from but locals adore
MoreLove this local place. Normally the milkshakes are hit or miss (still good but depending on who makes them) and the macaroons are really good. Tonight was the opposite. I'll be back but we'll see if this is a trend.
MoreI know they are supposed to be a dessert place, but I go there for the muffins. I'm addicted to them, really. They also make a hazelnut coffee that is wonderful for drip coffee. Wifi is free here if you need a chill place to work too.
MoreDelicious desserts. A good quiet place to hang out. but unlike Starbucks, you might feel pressure to buy things when you might not want to.
MoreBest baked goods in San Francisco. Been that good for 30+ years.
When we're craving dessert, we go here. The key lime tart is my favorite, but I think everyone I've tried had been good, especially some of the chocolate ones. The new burrito bar in the back is also my new favorite place in the neighborhood for burritos. They have lots of flavor and the lady who makes them is so kind. She always remembers my family and goes out of her way to say Hi to my daughter and make sure she's got her order right.
MoreWe were so surprised that they had several gluten free options. Their strawberry chocolate cake was an amazing treat! We enjoyed very much and couldn’t believe that it was gluten free.
MoreAlthough cakes look good, they are not exceptional. The place is authentic with a relatively older clientele. Coffe 6/10.
MoreFine capucino, chocolate overkill was delicious, just restrooms were bad
Every time I pass by, I feel like ordering something but never do. Pastries look stale.
MoreThe cookies and muffins I tried weren't that great, the cakes and pies looked very good though! Internet was spotty too, but there was lots of places to plug in. Overall, a decent place to do some work. Seems like the high end desserts are where they shine.
MorePastries seemed dry. My aunt liked it though. No dairy free options!
Food is fine, coffee and drinks are really good, but I needed WiFi and theirs does not seem to work.
MoreWow, the chocolate cakes are absolutely amazing. Nice shop and they'll even sell by the slice. Lots of great desserts and snacks. Tons of room to even sit down and enjoy a coffee.
MoreTart to Tart is a solid family-run venue for studying and working on side projects. It's open late, and attracts a crowd of UCSF med students and other night owls. It's less polished than the Starbucks down the street, but it's got personality and a pleasant staff to make up for it.
MoreLove the pear almond tart is amazing. coffee is not my favorite though.
Decadently delicious desserts in a congenial atmosphere. Love the vibe here.
I really like the tarts, pastries and cakes from this spot. I love the lemon individual tart (my favorite) and a cherry filled pastry. Highly recommended. Simple spot with down to earth prices and delicious desserts.
MoreCould've been a little more generous with the filling in the Apple strudel.
Came here to do some work with a friend. It's a pretty decent place to get some work done because it's quiet, there's usually seats, and the employees there are pretty nice. The only complaint I have is that it's not the cleanest. The tables weren't cleaned properly and there was still garbage and food on the floor. Overall, if you're looking for a quiet place to get some work done, this isn't a bad choice.
MoreTry the lemon cake. It's so good. Not too sugary. The ice tea is great too. Reasonable prices
MoreExcellent muffins and they know how to make a double espresso long pull
Quality:Always high and of a very good value. It's one of the few places where you get a honky $4 sandwich that's actually delicious and stay there all day studying.Appeal:Cute, not pretentious. It might not be a place for a first date or a business meeting but it's the kind of cafe you can work in for weeks on end without any distractions. Its proximity to the park is a huge plus.Service:Super excellent. Very nice, smiling, accommodating attendants.
MoreThis is a great place in sunset. It has new age and vintage look perfectly blended in one place. It is also quite compare to other places near by. The staff is great and quick service. It's not that busy during afternoon. Even most of the customers looked regulars and we're pretty chill. Would definitely go there to hang out or get work done.
MoreWent here once just because I was passing by. The food was obviously sitting out all day, so dry and Stale. The shriveled hag behind the counter was pretty rude. Awful customer service explains why this place is typically empty while the coffee shops down the street are packed. Caution don’t try to sit in this place while black.
MoreHuge selection of baked goods and drinks. Very delicious and reasonably priced
Good coffee and sweets !
Diner-esque spot to grab some dessert and coffee in inner sunset. We had the hazelnut chocolate cake and loved the chunks of whole hazelnuts between rich chocolate. It's pretty no frills though and didn't have music playing and weren't impressed with the interior. It doesn't matter though when the pastries are delicious!
MoreBest place to get a fruit tart in the sunset. Or arguably, in San francisco
